Roll-out of the Data.africa project

A number of local, citizen-led or institutional initiatives to promote and make data available have been launched in several countries across French-speaking Africa. Due to the lack of a single interface and a central directory, it is often difficult to be aware of the existence of certain dedicated websites or of activities that have been carried out or are currently underway. A lack of targeted communication also limits the use of datasets by local media and other identified audiences.

As part of our proposal, we will set up an African platform called data.africa to document all existing initiatives and projects. It will also serve as a hub for bringing together the latest content published through national projects. It will serve as a database but, above all, as an excellent tool for communicating about the projects led by the various members and stakeholders in the community.
