AfricTivistes CitizenLab Benin is a citizens’ factory whose objectives are to support, accompany and equip civil society players in Benin through training and the development of innovative tools.

It is also a program for accelerating the participatory engagement of young people, producing valuable content and advocacy, based on digital projects dedicated to democracy.

This citizen initiative for the Promotion of Participatory Democracy in Benin is a response to a demand from young people and civil society organizations to.

● Prioritize the voice of young people in governance

● Promote a culture of youth political participation;

● Promote a culture of human rights among young people;

● Stimulate a new dynamic of citizen participation.

● Create a network of committed actors to identify, study, reflect on and propose solutions to Benin’s socio-political issues;

● Advocate the Youth Cohort’s commitments to the Democracy Summit.

This citizen innovation hub aims to build the capacities of young Beninese civil society players in terms of citizen participation. It will provide young members of civil society with media solutions and valuable content on augmented citizenship.

The project is being implemented with the involvement and participation of the AfricTivistes network in Benin, civil society and the media.
